Step-by-Step: How to Legalize Your Work Documents
Step 1: Prepare Your Documents
Gather your required documents and make sure they are valid, complete, and in good condition.

Step 2: Notarization (If Required)
Some documents, such as contracts or affidavits, must be notarized first.
However, documents issued directly by government agencies such as diplomas or police records (SKCK) usually do not require notarization.
In some cases, if the official who originally signed your document is no longer in office, you may need to obtain a keabsahan (validity) letter from the issuing institution.
If needed, this keabsahan letter will be required by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights before they can issue an apostille.

Wait For Completion
Wait for the ministry to finish the verification process and then issue your apostille. This normally takes 5 – 10 business days.
Visit The Nearest Kemenkumham Office to Receive Your Apostille
Once the apostille is complete, you can visit the nearest Kemenkumham office to print your apostille. Don’t forget to take your Passport or KTP identification with you!
Step 4: Sworn Translation (if required)
Please note that the apostille certificate will be issued in both Indonesian and English.
If your documents are in Bahasa Indonesia, they may need to be translated into the official language of your destination country.
A sworn translation ensures accuracy and acceptance.
Some embassies and employers only accept translations done by translators registered in Indonesia, while others require translators registered in the destination country.
