Apostille

Cost: 1,200,000 IDR per document.
Time: 5 business days.

Apostille is a simplified form of document legalization that is accepted in countries that are part of the Hague Apostille Convention. The apostille is a certificate attached to a document by the competent authority, confirming its authenticity and legal validity. It eliminates the need for additional legalization steps, streamlining the process for international recognition.

Consular Legalization

When apostille is not possible, consular legalization is the process used for authenticating documents to make them legally valid in another country.

It involves legalizing the documents at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, then at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and finally at the Consular Section of the Embassy of the country where the document will be used.

Legalization at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights

Cost: 1,000,000 IDR per document.
Time: 5 business days.

The Ministry of Law and Human Rights verifies that the document is authentic and was issued or notarized by an authorized body in Indonesia.

Legalization at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Cost: 1,000,000 IDR per document.
Time: 5 business days.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs ensures that the document has been properly legalized by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and is ready for international recognition.

Legalization at Consular Section of Embassy

The embassy of the country where the document will be used confirms that the legalizations from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are valid.

Once this is done, the document is fully legalized and can be used in the destination country for official purposes.

Please note that each country has its own rules, processing times, and prices.
You can find more details in the Embassy section below.

Notarization

Certified Copy

Cost: 450,000 IDR.
Time: 1 business day.

The notary verifies that a photocopy of an official document is a true and accurate copy of the original. The notary checks the original document, certifies the copy with their official stamp and signature, and records the certification in their register.

This notarized copy can then be used for legal, administrative, or consular purposes.

Waarmerking

Cost: 800,000 IDR.
Time: 1 business day.

The notary certifies that a document has been presented to them without verifying its content or legality. The notary only records the document in their register and affixes a stamp to confirm its existence on a specific date.

This is typically used in scenarios where the principal who issued/signed the document is no longer in office. For example with older birth certificates, marriage certificates, academic certificates, and death certificates.

Attestation / Legalization

Cost: 1,000,000 IDR.
Time: 1 business day.

The notary officially certifies the authenticity of signatures and identities of the signers. The notary attests that the signature on the document matches the identity of the person who signed it.

This is commonly required for legal agreements and business transactions such as Power of Attorney (Surat Kuasa), Affidavits and Declarations, and Company Registration and Business Licenses.

Marriage Book (Buku Nikah) Legalization

Buku Nikah (Marriage Book) is an official document issued by the Indonesian Office of Religious Affairs (Kantor Urusan Agama – KUA) for Muslim couples upon marriage registration.

Before receiving apostille or consular legalization, the Buku Nikah must be legalized at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) and then at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kementerian Agama – Kemenag).

Legalization at Office of Religious Affairs (KUA)

To apply for an apostille for your Buku Nikah, you must first go to your local Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) and ask for five certified copies of your Buku Nikah.

Unfortunately, we cannot assist with this step, and you have to go in person to do this.

Once you’ve received those five copies from the KUA, we can assist you in the next step of legalization at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag).

Legalization at Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag)

Cost: 1,000,000 IDR per document.
Time: 7 business days.

After obtaining legalization from the KUA, the next step is to get your Buku Nikah legalized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kementerian Agama) in Jakarta.

This step ensures that your Buku Nikah is officially recognized at the national level.

This document is often required for various purposes such as applying for jobs, enrolling in educational institutions, and obtaining visas.
