3. Apply for Apostille
After notarization, you can apply for an apostille through the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kementerian Hukum dan HAM). This apostille certifies that your document is valid for international use without needing any further consular legalization.
You have two options for applying for an apostille:
Create an account and go through the application process.
You can follow the instructions from the ministry’s website here.
Wait for the ministry to finish the verification process and then issue your apostille. This normally takes 5–7 business days.
Once the apostille is complete, you can visit the nearest Kemenkumham office to print your apostille. Don’t forget to take your Passport or KTP identification with you!
